10/12 Board Exams

Grade 10 and 12 level courses are offered by NIOS, Indian National Education Board established in 1989 by the Ministry of Education (MHRD), India. Government of India vested NIOS the authority to examine and certify learners registered with it up to senior secondary level.
Thus, the 10/12 certificate obtained from NIOS has the same recognition and equivalency status of CBSE and CISCE, the other two national Boards of education. Successful students are eligible to join universities in India and abroad. Students can appear for state and national level medical and engineering entrance examinations.

Secondary (Grade 10) and Senior Secondary (Grade12) Board examinations are considered to be milestones in Indian education system, as a result, students are found to be extremely stressed when they appear for this examination.
We offer flexible and unique education system, flexibility in subject selection: students are required to study a minimum of five subjects from the wide range of subjects on offer; students, therefore, have much flexibility in selecting areas in which they are able to attempt an examination.
The combination of subjects has to be chosen wisely by considering the eligibility criteria for higher studies. Humanities, Science and Commerce subject streams can be opted at Grade 12 level.
Flexibility in admission and course duration: Public Examinations of Secondary and Senior Secondary levels are conducted twice a year: in April-May, and in October-November. Thus, students are provided the opportunity to register and attend the examination in the same year

Entry Requirements


For admission in Secondary Course (Grade X)          Candidate must be of 14 years of age
For admission in Senior Secondary Course (XII)          Candidate must be of 15 years of age
         Passed Secondary Examination from a          recognized board

Both secondary and senior secondary course is one year program, Public examination will be held in the same academic year of registration. There is exemptions in case of students who have already appeared in any recognized Board, whether passed or failed, can be completed in 2 months.
Yes, the 10 and 12 obtained from NIOS have the same recognition as certificates issued by CBSE. Therefore after completing 12th students can seek admission in India and abroad, also appear in All India and state entrance exams like IIT-JEE,NEET and other competitive exams SAT. They can also seek the government jobs whether central / state government.
The Public examinations are conducted twice in a year, Oct-Nov month and April-May month. Students are provided opportunity to register before 8 months of any of this exam date, thus Board provide opportunity to get certified in one year duration.
The course content is of similar standards of CBSE, thus it has the equivalency status. However, a proper syllabus and past question paper based study makes it easier. You may seek the help of a private teacher who knows well about the NIOS pattern.
There is no upper age limit for applying, candidate who completed 14 years of age is Eligible to join secondary and who completed 15 years can join senior secondary.
